Golfanlage Millstätter See - An 18-hole golf course located on a sunny high plateau directly above Millstätter See, the first 9 holes run through hilly terrain and is therefore physically a little challenging and include numerous view of Millstätter See. The second 9 holes run through a flat area surrounded by the picturesque mountain backdrop. It has been the site of the PGA European Challenge Tour many times and the sunny location guarantees golfing from March to November.

Ice skating on Weissensee – Located only 40 km from Millstätter See, Weissensee is Europe’s largest frozen and groomed natural ice surface. Weissensee offers one of the most beautiful and dependable open-air skating areas in the area and usually is traversable as early as January. Ice sportsmen enjoy the frozen lake, which is up to 40 cm thick, but also horse-drawn carriages and winter hikers enjoy the stunning setting.

Bonsai Museum - One of Europe's largest and oldest, the Bonsai Museum in Seeboden features nearly 3,000 unique bonsai many of them more than 100 years old. The center also includes a 10,000 m² Zen garden, which was designed according to classic Japanese traditions.

Schloss Porcia & Folk culture – The Porcia Castle in Spittal, one of the most beautiful Renaissance-Palazzo outside of Italy, houses the museum of culture and is among the largest museums within the alpine region. Sommeregg castle - The largest torture museum in Central Europe is open from April to October and features more than 100 exhibits. For the first three weeks in August, the castle in Seeboden hosts their Medieval Festival which features a handcraft market, 70 performers and knights showcase their horse-riding and jousting skills.

Granatium – In the old mining town of Radenthein, one can search for garnets on the garnet-prospecting grounds. Open every day from May to October, adults and kids can use a hammer and chisel and the stones you find can then be fashioned into jewelry or other souvenirs, either by yourself or a professional.
